After several life-changing personal and professional experiences, Joy, a former family law attorney, began to explore mediation as an alternative to the courtroom battles that she had waged for so many years representing her clients in Domestic Relations, Juvenile and Probate courtrooms all over southwestern Ohio.

After her own divorce, Joy became firmly convinced that most of her clients would have been far happier if she had helped them negotiate their divorces rather than fighting through the courts, forcing them to turn the most important decisions of their lives over to a judge or magistrate.

In addition to mediating, Joy also serves as a National Certified Guardian and an Ohio Supreme Court trained Guardian ad Litem. She also works pro bono as an advocate for sustainable community living for elders and those with disabilities. She no longer practices law or represents individual clients in any court.
